"Drag" is a cover album by K.D. Lang, released in 1997; most of its songs feature a smoking motif, although some address broader issues of dependence and/or addiction.
"The Air That I Breathe" is a ballad written by Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood, initially recorded by Albert Hammond on his 1972 album "It Never Rains In Southern California".
It is best remembered as having been a major hit for The Hollies in early 1974, reaching No. 2 in the UK - their last major hit single, apart from a reissue of "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" in 1988. In the summer of 1974, the song reached #6 in the US on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and #3 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
In Canada. the song peaked at #5 on the RPM Magazine charts. "The Air That I Breathe" was engineered by Alan Parsons.

Is there a striking resemblance between 'The Air That I Breathe' (by The Hollies), and 'Creep' (by Radiohead). Besides the fact that both these songs are great . It's known that 'The Air That I Breathe'-composer Albert Hammond is considered, and credited co-composer of 'Creep', but it's not clear if Radiohead was forced (= sued) to share the credits with him, or if Radiohead had offered that credit to him voluntarily, out of respect (as Albert Hammond claimed himself). Anyway, I suggest you judge yourself if the resemblance is obvious enough to argue or even just to bother at all. (Mind that all that these two songs have in common is only 2 (!!!) successive same accords, at 4 bars - which isn't very special; most songs have at least two accords in common - plus a melody line that however is quite the same, but also just for 4 bars. I think it's basically the idea that the particular part of 'Creep' just reminds of 'The Air...'.)

Radiohead VS The Hollies
Creep VS The Air That I Breathe

Is there a striking resemblance between 'The Air That I Breathe' (by The Hollies), and 'Creep' (by Radiohead). Besides the fact that both these songs are great . It's known that 'The Air That I Breathe'-composer Albert Hammond is considered, and credited co-composer of 'Creep', but it's not clear if Radiohead was forced (= sued) to share the credits with him, or if Radiohead had offered that credit to him voluntarily, out of respect (as Albert Hammond claimed himself). Anyway, I suggest you judge yourself if the resemblance is obvious enough to argue or even just to bother at all. (Mind that all that these two songs have in common is only 2 (!!!) successive same accords, at 4 bars - which isn't very special; most songs have at least two accords in common - plus a melody line that however is quite the same, but also just for 4 bars. I think it's basically the idea that the particular part of 'Creep' just reminds of 'The Air...'.)
