In 1970, King Curtis appeared with Aretha Franklin and The King Pins on Aretha Live at Fillmore West, and another record, Live at Fillmore West, which included a version of "Memphis Soul Stew" and covers of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love", Isaac Hayes' "I Stand Accused" and Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours". The line-up for these performances included: Hammond organ player Billy Preston, bassist Jerry Jemmott, guitarist Cornell Dupree, Pancho Morales (percussion), drummer Bernard "Pretty" Purdie and The Memphis Horns. A cover of Procol Harum's "Whiter Shade of Pale" was taken from this album.
Around midnight on August 13, 1971 Curtis was lugging an air-conditioning unit towards his brownstone apartment on West 86th Street in New York City when he noticed two junkies were using drugs on the steps to his home. When he asked them to leave, an argument started.The argument quickly became heated and turned into a fist fight with one of the men, 26-year old Juan Montañez. Suddenly, Montañez pulled out a knife and stabbed Curtis in the chest. Curtis managed to wrestle the knife away and stab his assailant four times before collapsing. Montañez staggered away from the scene and Curtis was taken to Roosevelt Hospital, where he died from his wounds less than an hour later.
Montañez was arrested at the same hospital Curtis had been taken to. When police officers investigating the murder learned that another man had been admitted to Roosevelt hospital with stab wounds around the same time as Curtis, they quickly realized that the two events were connected. Montañez was charged with Curtis' murder and subsequently sentenced to a term of imprisonment.
On the day of Curtis' funeral Atlantic Records closed their offices.Jesse Jackson administered the service and as the mourners filed in, Curtis's band 'The Kingpins' played "Soul Serenade". Amongst those attending were Aretha Franklin, Cissy Houston, Brook Benton and Duane Allman.Franklin sang the closing spiritual "Never Grow Old" and Stevie Wonder performed "Abraham, Martin & John and now King Curtis".

"A Whiter Shade of Pale" is the debut single by the English rock band Procol Harum, released 12 May 1967. The record reached number one in the UK Singles Chart on 8 June 1967, and stayed there for six weeks. Without much promotion, it reached No. 5 on the US charts as well. One of the counterculture anthems of the 1967 Summer of Love, it is one of fewer than 30 singles to have sold over 10 million copies worldwide.
Co - authors Gary Brooker, Keith Reid, and organist Matthew Fisher. "A Whiter Shade of Pale" reached No. 1 in several countries when released in 1967. In 2004, Rolling Stone placed "A Whiter Shade of Pale" No. 57 on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
In 1977, the song was named joint winner (along with Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody") of the Best British Pop Single 1952 - 1977 at the Brit Awards. In 1998 the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. More than 1000 recorded cover versions by other artists are known. The song has been included in many music compilations over the decades and has also been used in the soundtracks of numerous films.

Live at Fillmore West is an album by King Curtis, released in 1971. The album showcases the concert he played with his band The Kingpins at the Fillmore West venue in San Francisco in March 1971 who were supporting and backing soul singer Aretha Franklin.
Tragically only a week after its release, Curtis was stabbed to death outside his brownstone apartment in New York following an argument with two junkies. The day after he died the album peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard 200 album chart, his greatest success as a solo artist.
It was reissued on compact disc in the 1990s through Rhino Records and was released in an expanded edition in 2006. In addition it was released as an expanded edition four-CD box set entitled, Don't Fight The Feeling: The Complete Aretha Franklin & King Curtis Live At Fillmore West by Rhino Handmade in 2005, featuring the complete concert by King Curtis and Aretha Franklin. This edition was limited to 5000 numbered copies.

Curtis Ousley (February 7, 1934 -- August 13, 1971), who performed under the stage name King Curtis, was an American saxophone virtuoso known for rhythm and blues, rock and roll, soul, blues, funk and soul jazz. Variously a bandleader, band member, and session musician, he was also a musical director and record producer. Adept at tenor, alto, and soprano saxophone, he was best known for his distinctive riffs and solos such as on "Yakety Yak", which later became the inspiration for Boots Randolph's "Yakety Sax" and his own "Memphis Soul Stew".
Curtis started playing saxophone at the age of twelve in the Fort Worth area. He took interest in many musical genres including jazz, rhythm and blues, and popular music. He recorded with Nat Adderley and Wynton Kelly, Buddy Holly and Andy Williams.
Stylistically, Curtis took inspiration from saxophonists Lester Young, Louis Jordan, Illinois Jacquet, Earl Bostic, and Gene Ammons.
King Curtis enjoyed playing jazz and rhythm & blues but decided he would make more money as a rhythm & blues musician, stating in a 1971 interview with Charlie Gillet that "I love the authentic rhythm & blues more than anything, and I also like to live well."
In 1970, Curtis won the Best R&B Instrumental Performance Grammy for "Games People Play".
Curtis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 6, 2000.

Una mujer ha perdido a su niño, pero ni ella sabe como lo ha perdido. Envuelta en una niebla lo busca en el cementerio y en el pueblo, pero no lo encuentra. Lo recuerda en cada minuto de su vida y llora por la pérdida. Pero ella está perdida en sus pensamientos porque nada es real. El niño existió y existe, él es real, ella también, pero la forma en que tuvo a su hijo no es real, y no logra entender como lo perdió, porque en el cementerio no lo podrá encontrar. Su hijo está más en su mente que en cualquier otro lado. Se trata de un video musical con la historia de esta mujer joven que vive en su propio mundo.

Para que se entienda mejor, la primera escena en el cementerio debería ubicarse por orden cronológico al final. Después de perder a "su hijo" lo busca en el cementerio donde nunca lo hallará.

BIOGRAFÍA DE DONATO Y ESTEFANO
Nacido en Santiago de Cuba, Donato se trasladó con su familia a La Habana cuando apenas contaba dos años de edad. A los ocho años de edad ya tocaba la guitarra y cantaba, a pesar de la oposición de su padre que no consideraba el mundo artístico como una forma de vida honesta y viril. En 1989 Donato viaja a Venezuela para quedarse. Más tarde se traslada a vivir a Miami donde comienza a componer para intérpretes internacionales como Julio Iglesias, José Luis Rodríguez, Chayanne, Willie Chirino y Ana Torroja, entre otros. Un buen día conoce a otro músico recién llegado a Miami (Estéfano) que le pide unos teclados para una de sus composiciones, ese mismo día comienzan a hacer música juntos. Estéfano nació en el seno de una familia amante de la música, una música que él llama de consumo , porque era la música que sonaba en la radio y que su madre cantaba por la casa. Nacido en Manizales y criado en Cali (Colombia), a los cuatro años soñaba que El Niño Dios le regalaría un guitarra, él ya tenía claro que lo suyo era el pop, la música popular que invitaba a vivir, a bailar y divertirse. Se marcha a Miami y recorre una por una toda las compañías discográficas sin conseguir nada concreto. Conoce a Emilio Estefan Jr. y éste elige algunas de sus canciones primero para el álbum de Gloria Estefan Mi Tierra , y después para el primer álbum de Jon Secada en español. Estos dos álbumes consiguieron sendos Premios Grammy en 1993 y 1995, respectivamente. Después vendría una larga lista de colaboraciones con intérpretes como Julio Iglesias, José Luis Rodríguez, Chayanne, Myriam Hernández, Azucar Moreno, Alejandro Fernández, Mercurio, Shakira y Laura Pausini, entre otros que, además de situar sus canciones en los primeros lugares de las listas en toda América Latina, España y Estados Unidos, han ido consolidando la reputación de Estéfano como el compositor joven más solicitado y prestigiado de la década. Su encuentro con Donato, además de impulsar sus ambiciones musicales, sirvió también para abrirle la percepción a una serie de ritmos y sonidos que, aunque procedentes del continente africano, evolucionaron en Cuba, dando paso a gran parte de los ritmos caribeños tal y como hoy los percibimos.

In 1970, King Curtis appeared with Aretha Franklin and The King Pins on Aretha Live at Fillmore West, and another record, Live at Fillmore West, which included a version of "Memphis Soul Stew" and covers of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love", Isaac Hayes' "I Stand Accused" and Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours". The line-up for these performances included: Hammond organ player Billy Preston, bassist Jerry Jemmott, guitarist Cornell Dupree, Pancho Morales (percussion), drummer Bernard "Pretty" Purdie and The Memphis Horns. A cover of Procol Harum's "Whiter Shade of Pale" was taken from this album.
Around midnight on August 13, 1971 Curtis was lugging an air-conditioning unit towards his brownstone apartment on West 86th Street in New York City when he noticed two junkies were using drugs on the steps to his home. When he asked them to leave, an argument started.The argument quickly became heated and turned into a fist fight with one of the men, 26-year old Juan Montañez. Suddenly, Montañez pulled out a knife and stabbed Curtis in the chest. Curtis managed to wrestle the knife away and stab his assailant four times before collapsing. Montañez staggered away from the scene and Curtis was taken to Roosevelt Hospital, where he died from his wounds less than an hour later.
Montañez was arrested at the same hospital Curtis had been taken to. When police officers investigating the murder learned that another man had been admitted to Roosevelt hospital with stab wounds around the same time as Curtis, they quickly realized that the two events were connected. Montañez was charged with Curtis' murder and subsequently sentenced to a term of imprisonment.
On the day of Curtis' funeral Atlantic Records closed their offices.Jesse Jackson administered the service and as the mourners filed in, Curtis's band 'The Kingpins' played "Soul Serenade". Amongst those attending were Aretha Franklin, Cissy Houston, Brook Benton and Duane Allman.Franklin sang the closing spiritual "Never Grow Old" and Stevie Wonder performed "Abraham, Martin & John and now King Curtis".

"A Whiter Shade of Pale" is the debut single by the English rock band Procol Harum, released 12 May 1967. The record reached number one in the UK Singles Chart on 8 June 1967, and stayed there for six weeks. Without much promotion, it reached No. 5 on the US charts as well. One of the counterculture anthems of the 1967 Summer of Love, it is one of fewer than 30 singles to have sold over 10 million copies worldwide.
Co - authors Gary Brooker, Keith Reid, and organist Matthew Fisher. "A Whiter Shade of Pale" reached No. 1 in several countries when released in 1967. In 2004, Rolling Stone placed "A Whiter Shade of Pale" No. 57 on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
In 1977, the song was named joint winner (along with Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody") of the Best British Pop Single 1952 - 1977 at the Brit Awards. In 1998 the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. More than 1000 recorded cover versions by other artists are known. The song has been included in many music compilations over the decades and has also been used in the soundtracks of numerous films.

Live at Fillmore West is an album by King Curtis, released in 1971. The album showcases the concert he played with his band The Kingpins at the Fillmore West venue in San Francisco in March 1971 who were supporting and backing soul singer Aretha Franklin.
Tragically only a week after its release, Curtis was stabbed to death outside his brownstone apartment in New York following an argument with two junkies. The day after he died the album peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard 200 album chart, his greatest success as a solo artist.
It was reissued on compact disc in the 1990s through Rhino Records and was released in an expanded edition in 2006. In addition it was released as an expanded edition four-CD box set entitled, Don't Fight The Feeling: The Complete Aretha Franklin & King Curtis Live At Fillmore West by Rhino Handmade in 2005, featuring the complete concert by King Curtis and Aretha Franklin. This edition was limited to 5000 numbered copies.

Curtis Ousley (February 7, 1934 -- August 13, 1971), who performed under the stage name King Curtis, was an American saxophone virtuoso known for rhythm and blues, rock and roll, soul, blues, funk and soul jazz. Variously a bandleader, band member, and session musician, he was also a musical director and record producer. Adept at tenor, alto, and soprano saxophone, he was best known for his distinctive riffs and solos such as on "Yakety Yak", which later became the inspiration for Boots Randolph's "Yakety Sax" and his own "Memphis Soul Stew".
Curtis started playing saxophone at the age of twelve in the Fort Worth area. He took interest in many musical genres including jazz, rhythm and blues, and popular music. He recorded with Nat Adderley and Wynton Kelly, Buddy Holly and Andy Williams.
Stylistically, Curtis took inspiration from saxophonists Lester Young, Louis Jordan, Illinois Jacquet, Earl Bostic, and Gene Ammons.
King Curtis enjoyed playing jazz and rhythm & blues but decided he would make more money as a rhythm & blues musician, stating in a 1971 interview with Charlie Gillet that "I love the authentic rhythm & blues more than anything, and I also like to live well."
In 1970, Curtis won the Best R&B Instrumental Performance Grammy for "Games People Play".
Curtis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 6, 2000.

Una mujer ha perdido a su niño, pero ni ella sabe como lo ha perdido. Envuelta en una niebla lo busca en el cementerio y en el pueblo, pero no lo encuentra. Lo recuerda en cada minuto de su vida y llora por la pérdida. Pero ella está perdida en sus pensamientos porque nada es real. El niño existió y existe, él es real, ella también, pero la forma en que tuvo a su hijo no es real, y no logra entender como lo perdió, porque en el cementerio no lo podrá encontrar. Su hijo está más en su mente que en cualquier otro lado. Se trata de un video musical con la historia de esta mujer joven que vive en su propio mundo.

Para que se entienda mejor, la primera escena en el cementerio debería ubicarse por orden cronológico al final. Después de perder a "su hijo" lo busca en el cementerio donde nunca lo hallará.
Próximamente un nuevo video hecho con los sims 3. Estoy comenzándolo, y me lleva mucho tiempo hacer estos videos.

BIOGRAFÍA DE DONATO Y ESTEFANO
Nacido en Santiago de Cuba, Donato se trasladó con su familia a La Habana cuando apenas contaba dos años de edad. A los ocho años de edad ya tocaba la guitarra y cantaba, a pesar de la oposición de su padre que no consideraba el mundo artístico como una forma de vida honesta y viril. En 1989 Donato viaja a Venezuela para quedarse. Más tarde se traslada a vivir a Miami donde comienza a componer para intérpretes internacionales como Julio Iglesias, José Luis Rodríguez, Chayanne, Willie Chirino y Ana Torroja, entre otros. Un buen día conoce a otro músico recién llegado a Miami (Estéfano) que le pide unos teclados para una de sus composiciones, ese mismo día comienzan a hacer música juntos. Estéfano nació en el seno de una familia amante de la música, una música que él llama de consumo , porque era la música que sonaba en la radio y que su madre cantaba por la casa. Nacido en Manizales y criado en Cali (Colombia), a los cuatro años soñaba que El Niño Dios le regalaría un guitarra, él ya tenía claro que lo suyo era el pop, la música popular que invitaba a vivir, a bailar y divertirse. Se marcha a Miami y recorre una por una toda las compañías discográficas sin conseguir nada concreto. Conoce a Emilio Estefan Jr. y éste elige algunas de sus canciones primero para el álbum de Gloria Estefan Mi Tierra , y después para el primer álbum de Jon Secada en español. Estos dos álbumes consiguieron sendos Premios Grammy en 1993 y 1995, respectivamente. Después vendría una larga lista de colaboraciones con intérpretes como Julio Iglesias, José Luis Rodríguez, Chayanne, Myriam Hernández, Azucar Moreno, Alejandro Fernández, Mercurio, Shakira y Laura Pausini, entre otros que, además de situar sus canciones en los primeros lugares de las listas en toda América Latina, España y Estados Unidos, han ido consolidando la reputación de Estéfano como el compositor joven más solicitado y prestigiado de la década. Su encuentro con Donato, además de impulsar sus ambiciones musicales, sirvió también para abrirle la percepción a una serie de ritmos y sonidos que, aunque procedentes del continente africano, evolucionaron en Cuba, dando paso a gran parte de los ritmos caribeños tal y como hoy los percibimos.
